Bush document forgery pro and con

The Washington Post published an excellent summary of case against the authenticity of documents that allegedly show George W. Bush got special treatment while serving in the National Guard. I know a thing or two about fonts and word processors, so I am quite persuaded that the documents are a forgery.

But there is a counterargument. Its defenders claim that, although somewhat unusual and hard to acquire, the technology for producing these documents did exist in the 1970's.
